Honduras: El Paraiso – The new rooms are finished

On January 2, work began on building the two classrooms. The workers were committed and joyful, hoping their own children would benefit from the expansion. With the new school year starting in early February, new students were eager to join, anticipating the completion of the classrooms.

In the meantime, the carpenter made 20 tables and 40 chairs for the new rooms. Some fathers helped paint the classrooms inside and out.

The classrooms were officially opened with great joy on March 12!

Unfortunately, due to the global situation, including in Honduras, school had to be paused. However, the children’s joy will be even greater when the school hopefully reopens soon. New restrooms with toilets and sinks were also built to meet the students’ needs. We are also working on improving the drinking water supply shortly.

We were fortunate to find another dedicated worker, Mrs. Erenia, who regularly and reliably monitored the progress and was on-site daily to ensure everything was going smoothly.

Thank you so much for your dedication, dear Mrs. Erenia, in helping improve the condition of the school!
