Honduras: Update El Guanábono

We have great news: The construction work for the completion of the classrooms is finished, and the school can already be handed over by the end of April! But it’s not just the children, teachers, and parents—some of whom volunteered to help—who are happy. Through this project, we were also able to provide local craftsmen with jobs: 4 construction workers who leveled the floor, created a metal framework for the roof, and handled the electrical installation; as well as a few carpenters who are currently making the remaining desks for the children.

To ensure physical activity isn’t overlooked, we plan to set up 2 soccer goals, install a volleyball net, and organize some games for the younger children, as that is also a part of a normal school day. The children’s excitement is huge, and soon you can share in our success by viewing the photos in our gallery.

We have managed to complete this project in just under 2 months. However, this wouldn’t have been possible without your donations, so we want to extend a heartfelt THANK YOU to you, also on behalf of the community of El Guanábono!
