Mongolei: Nomgon

The kindergarten is located in the village of Nomgon, home to approximately 2,068 families. It was opened in 1977 and currently welcomes 125 children in 5 groups, organizing preschool educational activities. Finding a job here is difficult. Life is centered around agriculture in a typical nomadic style, with livestock farming. Most parents are out with the animals during the day.

The children are brought to the kindergarten and picked up at 5 PM, where they are lovingly cared for. The playground equipment, which was over 30 years old, broken, and rusty, was removed from the garden.

A playhouse with a slide, two swings, and two seesaws were built by a carpenter. Various climbing frames were also installed to help children develop coordination. Finally, the children can play outside in the fresh air on sunny days. Since these structures are not too heavy, they can also be used indoors in one of the gym rooms during the winter.

In the kindergarten, the children play, eat, sleep, and learn to interact with other children. Families often live several kilometers away, so it is important for the children to have a place that feels like a big family.
