Mongolia: Children with Disabilities

Most children with disabilities are not accepted by society, making things even more difficult for their families. Often, financial struggles prevent them from accessing physical therapy.

Several children with disabilities need our help, each with different challenges.

What they have in common:

  • They have never had a wheelchair.
  • They have never seen a specialist.
  • Their families cannot afford therapy.

In January 2021, we began treating 4 children, aged 4, 6, 10, and 12. The results were remarkable—improved muscle relaxation, better sleep, and increased independence, such as moving on their own and feeding themselves.

After just two months, news of our therapy spread. The parents of the first 4 children recommended our treatment to other families, and now we have over 50 children on the waiting list. Thanks to the generosity of Mrs. Anne from Munich, we were able to organize 11 wheelchairs in a short time. The first 3 have just arrived in Mongolia and will be distributed soon.

What does a therapy session include?

  • A 2-hour session with physical therapy, massage, acupuncture, and moxa.

Our goal: We aim to include 10 new children in our therapy program soon.

Cost per child for 8 months: €550, total €5,500.
