Tsagaanchuluut is a town in the Zavkhan region in northwestern Mongolia, located at an altitude of 2,174 meters. This region is one of the poorest in Mongolia. Around 1,500 people live here, most of whom lead a nomadic life.
The town has a school and a kindergarten, which about 100 children aged 0-6 attend, cared for by 8 professional and assistant staff members. The kindergarten has been in operation since November 2015.
Unfortunately, there are no financial means to build an outdoor playground for the children. The outdoor area is barren, and there are no trees to provide shade during the summer when temperatures can reach up to 38°C.
We would like to build a playground in the kindergarten’s outdoor area where the little ones can play and move around. The playground equipment will not simply be ordered from China but will be built by local craftsmen to provide them with income. Additionally, around 20 trees will be planted to provide shade for the playground.
